Privacy Policy for Oviyam
Last updated: August 14, 2026
Oviyam ("we", "our", or "us") is a local-first image library for Mac. Your image files stay under your control on your Mac.
Data Collection and Usage
Oviyam does not require an account and does not include cloud sync, uploads, analytics, advertising, or tracking. Your images and library activity are not sent to us or to third parties.
Access to Your Libraries
Oviyam accesses only library folders that you select. To reopen a registered library in later sessions, the app stores an app-scoped, persistent reference to that folder on your Mac.
Local Storage
Your image files remain in their folders on disk. Oviyam keeps a local, rebuildable index and thumbnail cache on your Mac so it can display and search your libraries efficiently. These local records can be recreated from the files in your selected library folders.
Forgetting a library in Oviyam removes only the app's saved reference to that folder. It does not delete, move, or change the folder or any of its contents.
